NE – Scones and Strawberry Tea, 11 August 2015

Once again we were lucky with the weather, so the garden could be enjoyed, although some escaped the heat to sit indoors. 33 people were present, mainly from the BRA and friends, but also three members from the Glarus English Speaking Club, and two delightful granddaughters who were kept busy the whole afternoon filling up cups and plates.

Ernestine Smyth revealed the background to her best-selling book and her plans for the next one while Luis Jegge told us about her Language School which she has recently opened in Zurich. It was also a challenge to keep the candles burning on a large birthday cake honouring the birthday of Joanna’s Brazilian neighbour.

Thank you everyone who joined in to make this a happy afternoon.
