|In 1829 the Mauler family bought the Prieurie Saint Pierre de Môtiers, in the heart of the Val-de-Travers, and since then have been producing their fine sparkling wines. The Priory was founded by Benedictine monks in the 6th century. Those coming by train should catch the 11.41 from Neuchâtel, arriving in Môtiers at 12.17. The restaurant is 100 metres from the station, right next to the Mauler cellars.
There is ample parking just by the Restaurant and don’t forget Môtiers is the “berceau de l’absinthe.”
